Because of your level of income you may be eligible for tax credits that will give you a bigger tax refund and put extra money in your pocket.  You may also be able to save money by going to a location where volunteers will prepare your taxes at no cost.  That too is money in your pocket.

Tracy Hoveland, Certified Nursing Assistant, and her husband take advantage of the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).  Tracy said, "In the past we couldn't afford health insurance because it took half of my paycheck and my husband doesn't have health insurance coverage because he has temporary employment. We used the extra money we got back each year on our tax return to help pay off overdue doctor bills."
