New State IT Request Process - 2013

Course Description and Learning Objectives: 

•             - In a continued effort to empower agencies to solve business problems while reducing duplication and increasing efficiencies in State government, the State has introduced a redesigned IT Investment Request Form (previously known as the Concept Paper).  

•             -This process is required for all projects with an IT component in excess of $25,000 (including staff time, hardware and software). 

•             -Information Management staff will discuss the new process, offer guidance and answer questions from Department staff.

•             Who should attend?  Anyone who uses (or potentially will use)  external IT services.

•             What will they learn?  Attendees will learn the importance of early engagement in the new State IT Investment Process in order to receive approval of requests for IT services.

Location:  Lucas State Office Building, Room 517-518

Target Audience:  IDPH staff who uses (or potentially will use) external IT services.

Additional Comments:  This is a face-to-face training in Des Moines, Iowa, not an online course.
